The purpose of this data is to provide District 33 families and staff with a transparent summary of instances of COVID-19 for individuals who have been in district buildings. District 33 will update this COVID-19 Dashboard each afternoon. 

Positive Case 
A "Positive Case" indicates that a student attending in-person or a staff member working in a district building has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual is recorded on the date District 33 was notified of the positive COVID-19 result. (IDPH requires the RT-PCR COVID-19 test).

**This DOES NOT necessarily mean the the individual was physically in the building on this day or that the individual was infected while in the school setting.**

These individuals will quarantine for a minimum of 10 days and must meet the criteria set in our Return to School Protocols page, before being allowed to return to school/building.

Close Contact 
A "Close Contact" refers to a staff member or student attending In-Person who has not tested positive but has been identified as being in close contact with someone (inside or outside of school) who has tested positive for COVID-19. The district works with the DuPage County Health Department for determining individuals who are considered to have been in close contact.

Symptomatic
Symptomatic refers to a staff member or student attending In-Person with ANY of the symptoms associated with COVID-19 that are out of the ordinary for the individual. Symptomatic staff members and students are sent home to participate in the Quarantine Remote Learning.

Quarantine
A quarantine refers to a staff member or student who must remain home for a variety of reasons: 

• • The individual tested positive for COVID-19

  • The individual had close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19

  • The individual exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 

  • The individual had close contact with someone in the same household who exhibited symptoms of COVID-19 

This dashboard is accurate as of 3:30pm each weekday.

Information shared with Covid Liaisons after 3:30pm will be added to the dashboard on the following weekday.
