About District 33
District 33 is located within the boundaries of the City of West Chicago, a small town nestled between Geneva to the West and Wheaton to the East.
District 33 serves children and families PreK through 8th grade:
- Birth to 3 program, which is a FREE Early Education Program for expecting parents and families with children under the age of three;
- Preschool
- Five elementary schools
- One middle school with 6th - 8th grade.
West Chicago Elementary School District 33’s population reflects the diverse demographics of West Chicago and portions of Winfield and Wheaton, from which it draws its student enrollment. The district includes approximately 3,000 students and 750 staff members.

West Chicago Elementary District 33 is located in West Chicago, Illinois, in western DuPage County. West Chicago is a 60-minute commute via the Metra Rail System to Chicago, the metropolitan center of northern Illinois. West Chicago remains a vital transportation center, with 2 freight and commuter rail lines, access to major highway routes, and a major commuter airport.
Currently, over 900 firms with a total workforce of 15,322 call West Chicago home. Nationally prominent firms include Navistar, Ball Seed, and Jel-Sert. These major firms are joined by smaller firms that contribute to the business climate within the city.
