Listening Posts
The Board of Education and its administration value input from the public and an opportunity to learn from its constituents. For this reason, the Board of Education has established a Listening Post session prior to its regularly scheduled meeting once a month. We welcome the opportunity to listen to issues and ideas that are important to our community in a less formal manner. Listening Posts are not intended to be a time for the Board to enter into dialogue. They are intended to be a time for the Board to listen and learn from the community. It is our policy to take no action on any items until we have taken time to gather adequate information and respond as a full board. Issues or ideas raised during a Listening Post may be added to future agendas or addressed by administrative staff as appropriate. Please understand that a lack of dialogue or action on your input during the Listening Post does not imply a lack of interest in what you have to say, as the Board needs time to process the information. Listening posts are open to community members, parents, staff, and students.
Listening Posts will be hosted by a board member, the superintendent, and the board secretary.
